Michael P. Donahue, 67, born in Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Friday June 17, 2022.

He lived fiercely, loved wholeheartedly, and laughed generously.

Mike attended the University of Delaware and was a lover and expert of everything technology related. He worked as a Senior Vice President of Technical Services (and self-proclaimed BS Artist) at Ameristar Technologies, as a Vice President at Versalign, Inc, and Technology Consultant at Delaware Ophthalmology Consultants. In the meantime, Mike wasted no moments on this earth and filled each of them with an adventure. Mike was a decorated dirt bike racer, fearless scuba diver and skier, aspiring BBQ pit master, amateur pyrotechnician, and avid collector of cameras, guitars, baseball cards, vinyl records, cars and pretty much anything he could fit into the garage. Above all, Mike loved his family and friends who never had to guess what was on his mind, particularly when it came to politics. He was brave and tenacious and never backed down from being the best husband, father, uncle, and the kindest friend.

Mike is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ephimia Coumanakos who was his adventure partner and closest ally; his daughter Alexandra who was and continues to be his unending source of pride and deepest love; his brother James Donahue (DiAnn), his sisters Penny White, Mary Bright, Kathleen Donahue (Rich Thompson), sister-in-law Konstantina Koumanakou, his nieces and nephews, Stephen Demanovich (Amy), Michael Bright, Shannon Cox (Ben), Brien Donahue (Amanda), and wonderful great-nephews and nieces.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, June 24 from 10:00 – 10:50 am at St. Joseph’s on the Brandywine. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made in support of Dr. Adam Luginbuhl’s research at Jefferson. Memorial gifts can be mailed to: Jefferson, Office of Institutional Advancement, Department 825434, P.O. Box 71331, Philadelphia,PA19176-1331.
