Hotel blocked for our group

A number of classmates have suggested that all the out of towners try to stay at one hotel. We have set up a group rate at the Doubletree Hotel on Concord Pike, next to the Concord Mall. $99 plus tax for the standard room & $13 pp for breakfast. the exec level is $139 & includes breakfast for 2 and internet ($10 value). If we have 15 rooms they throw in some freebies. No deposit now and you can cancel with no penalty 24 hrs in advance. Call the hotel directly at 302 478 6000 or 800 222 8733 and reference the MtP Class of 73 reunion. To be part of this group rate you must book by 7/22.

Faculty Info

I ran into Ralph Lepre this morning at the old Howard Johnson’s on 202 (now Hollywood Grille).  I’d recognize him anywhere, although he seemed surprised that would be the case at the age of 70.  He shared with me that Jody Ambrosino (at 75) is doing public relations work for Delaware Park and loving it – seems like a great fit.  Both are still living in the Wilmington area.  We both acknowledged the obituary in yesterday’s Wilmington News Journal of Jim Shoemaker aka “Mr. Shoe” who passed away last Friday.  Following is a link to the full obituary.
