Just saw this in the newsjournal this morning.
Barbie Ryan passed away on Saturday the 23, the day of the reunion. I don’t know the cause of death.
Beth and I had spoken with her about a month earlier. She had called asking about the reunion particulars and I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with her. She was dealing with the emotional weight of a divorce on top of some poor health issues. In the last year she had spent several weeks (4?) in the hospital in a coma. And although she really wanted to come to the reunion, she didn’t feel healthy enough to make it.
We’ll miss her.

Thanks for letting us know. I had just read the paper and noticed Debbie Sewards mother August 16 but missed that one. Of course I did not know her last name was Wolfensburger. Thanks for seeing it and letting us know. You are on top of things, dude. Patty
While driving back to New York today, I was still smiling, thinking of the wonderful time I had at the reunion, when Carol informed me. I am deeply saddened by Barbie’s passing. I have not been in touch with Barbie for years but remember her as one of the most beautiful people, both inside and out, whom I have ever known. My thoughts and prayers go out to her parents, brother Terry, and daughter Christina. Warmest regards, Debbie

I’m so sorry to hear about Barbie. She was one of the best friend’s a girl could ever have! Unfortunately, once Barbie had moved to Dover it became difficult to keep in touch. She was so beautiful and such a hard worker and a great MOM.
My prayers go out to her entire family. She will be surely missed.
